Gathering our community of farmers and artisans to share resources, skills,
and the joys of creating with fibre. Join us!
The Fourth Annual Manitoba Fibre Festival 2016
Friday evening September 30, 5:00 - 9:00 pm
Saturday October 1, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Red River Exhibition Park 3977 Portage Avenue.
Our partnership with The Red River Exhibition Association is a very exciting development in the short history of the Manitoba Fibre Festival. A non-profit Agricultural society, the Red River Exhibition Association includes in its objectives the promotion of agricultural fairs and exhibitions. This is a perfect fit for the Fibre Festival, as we are rooted in the strengths of our local farmers and our talented artisans.
The facilities at Red River Exhibition Park are spacious and flexible. Plans are underway for a Friday evening social gathering, more classes, and an expanded market.
It's going to be a delightful gathering of all things fibre related, including vendors, workshops, and demonstrations.
We have a great community in this province of fibre producers, spinners, knitters, weavers, and felters, not to mention the sheep, alpacas, llamas and more. Our goal is to strengthen these connections while drawing ever more people into the wonderful world of fibre. What better reason for a festival!
Admission is free to the festival market, demonstrations, and spinning circles.
There is a registration fee for the workshops
