MODERN ENGLISH PAPER PIECING - Instructor Leslie Gislason, Keystone Modern Creative

Join us for English Paper Piecing for Beginners and learn to embellish a jean jacket, tote bag or other item using this fun and relaxing technique. English Paper Piecing (EPP) is traditionally done by hand so no sewing machine is required! We will focus on how to cut and prepare the hexagons, sewing the hexagons together by hand (piecing) and then attaching your completed block to the item of your choosing. You can even just make the block in class and attach it to something another time!
Ages 14+
Students bring to class: A pair of sharp, small scissors and magnifying glasses if you have trouble seeing up close.
Price Breakdown: $60 materials fee includes the English Paper Piecing for Beginners Kit (Includes John James Gold'n Glide Milliners Needles, Sewline Refillable Fabric Glue Pen, Mini Charm Pack of Tula's True Solids, Wonder Clips, Bobbin of Bottomline) and 0.5m of Disco Lucy Fabric by Tula Pink in Prism*, $72 workshop fee
*You can also bring your own fabric (0.5m) with you if that is more your vibe. We will also talk about upcycling and repurposing fabrics that are well-suited to EPP.
