Anel, indie dyer and fibre artist, living on a few Saskatchewan acreages, surrounded by canola and her bees. Her deep connection with wool started when she processed her first raw fleece. She loves the way the lanolin makes her hands feel and the smell of sheep, oh the smell of sheep. She cherishes the connections she makes with farmers. She hands processes raw curly fleeces, wash and dye them in small batches. The locks add texture to weavings, spinning, felting, gnome beards or doll hair. Her other love is using unusual methods to add interesting colours and textures to silk like indigo and rust printing.
