Shula Mulenga Brown is an African textile artist based in Winnipeg Manitoba. Shulas’ foray into textile and fibre arts started in 2020. What started as a passing hobby gradually shifted into a passion to take her artistic skills seriously and turn her hobby into a business.
Shula strives to create exceptional functional and decorative textile art using various mediums such as sewing, embroidery, punch needle and rughooking. She prioritizes sourcing materials from Canadian and African small businesses that uphold sustainability and durability, ensuring that Mulenga reflects both creativity and ethical values.
