$95.00
sold out

Saturday, September 6th, 1 - 3:30pm (2.5 hrs) $95

Colorful woven bands have been made for centuries around the world to be used as ties, straps, trim and belts. In this class you’ll be introduced to a simple form of backstrap weaving using a rigid heddle to make these narrow woven bands.

We will work through the process of reading a pattern, warping the loom and weaving a colorful band. These bands can be used in many ways to adorn your textiles, gifts and home including for bag straps, decorative trim, lanyards, keychains or bookmarks just to name a few.

This satisfying technique is a great introduction to weaving beautiful textiles without the need for complicated equipment.  All tools will be provided and the heddle and shuttle are yours to take home after the class so you can continue on your weaving journey.

Ages 16+

Students Bring to Class: A loose fitting belt

Price Breakdown: $35  Materials fee includes a weaving heddle and shuttle to take home, as well as thread and weaving supplies, $60 registration fee
