SMALL CREATIONS ON THE INKLE LOOM with Gisèle Rondeau

$103.00

Thursday, September 10th, Noon - 4pm, (4 hrs)

In this hands-on weaving workshop, participants will explore how to design and create a symmetrical pattern using colours. They will learn how to plan their design, prepare and set up a floor inkle loom, and properly thread and tension the warp following their custom pattern accurately before beginning to weave. Throughout the session, participants will develop foundational weaving skills such as maintaining even tension and creating clean edges. Using durable acrylic yarn, each group  will weave a band to be used to create keyrings, bookmarks, wristlets and or lanyards or a small basket. These personalized pieces reflect both their creativity and newly learned technical skills. Participants will work in pairs; sign up with a friend or be paired with a fellow classmate.

Price Breakdown: $7 materials fee includes yarn and hardware, $96 registration fee

Ages: 12+
