Keep cozy with this beginner-friendly crochet hat workshop! In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how a few simple stitches—slip stitch, single crochet, and chains—can come together to create a polished, professional-looking wool hat that naturally tapers at the crown.The hat is built from one repeatable section worked six times, making it quick to learn and complete on your own. We’ll crochet the first section together, and your instructor, Callen, will guide you step-by-step so you feel confident completing the rest of the hat at home.While this class is beginner-friendly, we recommend practicing single crochet stitches before attending so you can jump right in and enjoy the process.
Students Bring to Class: pair of scissors (optional)
Price Breakdown: $15 materials fee includes crochet hook, needles and worsted weight yarn, $60 registration fee

Callen Maude is a multidisciplinary artist who has been showcasing her work throughout Manitoba for almost ten years. She facilitates art classes through McNally Robinson’s, festivals, and pop up locations throughout Winnipeg.

Workshop Cancellation Policy
A full refund will be issued if a workshop is cancelled by the Manitoba Fibre Festival for any reason, including instructor illness or low enrollment.
Student cancellations made by September 1st will be refunded the materials and registration fee, less a $10 admin fee. Withdrawals after September 1st will be refunded the materials fee only.
